Spomin
Slovenian for memory. Cards face down, two turned at a time; find every matching pair and the board clears. The rules take ten seconds to explain, which is why a six-year-old and a grandparent can sit at the same table and play the same game on level terms.
Every symbol is drawn by the app rather than loaded from anywhere — shapes, creatures, blooms, small icons, in several themed decks — so the cards stay crisp at any size and there is nothing to download before you start.
- Any board you like. From a quick little grid up to a sprawling test of concentration.
- On your own, or with somebody. A relaxed solo round against your own record, or a two-player hot-seat match where whoever collects the most pairs takes it.
- Records worth chasing. Best time and fewest moves are kept for every board size.
- It feels like cards. A gentle flip on every turn, and matched pairs settle with a glow rather than simply vanishing.
- Nothing in the way. No account, no advertising, no connection — it works with the handset in flight mode.
com.parcki.spominYou are not remembering sixteen cards. You are remembering about four.
The reason this game is playable by someone whose memory is still forming, and still interesting to someone whose memory is going, is a counting fact that has nothing to do with skill.
Turn cards over one at a time and ask when the first matching pair appears. The pigeonhole principle gives a hard ceiling — with n different symbols, the (n+1)th card you turn must repeat one you have already seen. But the ceiling is nothing like the average. The chance that the first m cards contain no pair is a short product, and summing it gives the expected card exactly.
Chance that the first m cards still hold no pair
Not here: no cards, no deck, no board and nothing played. No trick for remembering positions, no order to turn things in, no advice at all. This counts when a coincidence becomes likely. Noticing it on the table is the game.
We are not building anything
The company mark carries the words building a better tomorrow, which is a figure of speech and not an offer. AK Company does not carry out construction, renovation, roofing, groundwork, surveying or any other building trade, and nothing on this page is a quotation, a tender or an invitation to engage anybody for work on a property.
Nothing here is for sale, no payment is taken anywhere on this site, and the only thing on offer is a free application on Google Play.
